About me - Art by Gayla Mitchell

I have taught in a high school arts program for 37 years. Glenpool Public Schools have been my home since 1990. My education is a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma. I have 30 additional hours in Visual Communications from Oklahoma State University. I serve on the board of the Oklahoma Art Education Association and am chair of the state art show, Young Talent in Oklahoma.

Our schools current art classes are: Art 1, Pre AP/Art 2, Art Concepts, and AP Studio Art (Drawing, 2-D Design, 3-D Design).

I am the sponsor of the GHS National Art Honor Society. This group is recognized by the National Art Education Association. We currently have 46 members.
